Terms of Service

Welcome to dabbly. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the dabbly mobile application and the website at dabbly.app (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

dabbly is operated by Jax Masato, based in Singapore ("we," "us," or "our").

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use dabbly. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that all information you provide is accurate. We reserve the right to request proof of age at any time.

You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password with anyone. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and to update your information if it changes. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information.

3. How dabbly Works

dabbly is an activity based social connection platform. Here is how the core features work:

Events. We curate and list group activities (such as food tours, hikes, pottery workshops, and similar events) in Singapore. You can browse and join events that interest you.

Attendance. By joining an event, you commit to attending. Repeated no shows may result in restrictions on your account.

Post event ratings. After an event, you can privately rate each attendee you interacted with. The three options are Skip (no connection), Friends (platonic interest), or Spark (romantic interest).

Matching. Your ratings are completely private. No one will ever know your rating unless it is mutual. If two people both select Spark for each other, both are notified and a chat connection is created. If two people both select Friends, both are notified. Skip selections are never revealed under any circumstances.

Chat. Once connected through a mutual match, you can message each other through our in app chat.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws in Singapore.
• Harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, or abuse any other user, whether during events, through chat, or by any other means.
• Create a false identity, impersonate another person, or misrepresent your age, identity, or affiliations.
• Upload content that is obscene, offensive, hateful, discriminatory, or that promotes violence.
• Use the Service to solicit money, advertise products or services, or recruit for any organization.
• Attempt to manipulate the matching system, create multiple accounts, or use automated tools to interact with the Service.
• Share, screenshot, or publicly disclose another user's private information, photos, messages, or match status without their explicit consent.
• Attend events while under the influence of substances to the point of impairment, or engage in behavior that makes other attendees feel unsafe.

We take user safety seriously. If you experience or witness any conduct that violates these Terms, report it to us at safety@dabbly.app. We investigate all reports and take appropriate action, including permanent bans where warranted.

5. Content You Create

Your content. You retain ownership of the photos, messages, and other content you submit to dabbly ("User Content"). By submitting content, you grant us a non exclusive, worldwide, royalty free license to use, display, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

Content standards. All photos must be of you. Do not upload photos of other people without their consent. Do not upload photos that are sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate.

Removal. We may remove any content that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe is harmful, without prior notice.

6. Events and Safety

Event participation. dabbly facilitates connections through group activities. We curate events and may partner with third party venues and organizers. While we take reasonable steps to ensure event quality, we are not responsible for the actions of other attendees, venue conditions, or the conduct of third party organizers.

Your safety. You attend events at your own risk. Exercise the same caution you would when meeting new people in any social setting. We encourage you to tell a friend where you are going and to leave any situation where you feel uncomfortable.

Event cancellations. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule events. If an event is cancelled, registered attendees will be notified and any applicable fees will be refunded.

7. Premium Features and Payments

Free tier. Core features of dabbly (browsing events, joining events, post event ratings, and mutual match chat) are free.

Premium features. We may offer additional features for a fee. Pricing, features, and terms for premium subscriptions will be clearly communicated before purchase.

Refunds. Subscription fees are generally non refundable. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, contact us at support@dabbly.app.

App store terms. If you purchase premium features through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, the purchase is also subject to that platform's terms and refund policies.

8. Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. Our collection, use, and disclosure of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, available at dabbly.app/privacy. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual Property

The dabbly name, logo (turquoise pin icon), design, and all original content created by us are our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our branding or content without our written permission.

The Service may contain third party content, trademarks, or links. These belong to their respective owners and their inclusion does not imply endorsement.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error free, or free from harmful components.

We do not guarantee any specific outcomes from using dabbly. We do not promise that you will make friends, find a romantic partner, or have any particular experience at events.

We do not conduct background checks on users. While we take reasonable steps to maintain a safe community (including user reporting, moderation, and account bans), we cannot verify every user's identity or intentions.

To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non infringement.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid to dabbly in the 12 months preceding the claim, or SGD 100, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Singapore law.

12. Account Suspension and Termination

By you. You can delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion, your data will be handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

By us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if we receive credible reports of misconduct, or if we reasonably believe your continued use of the Service poses a risk to other users. We will endeavor to notify you of the reason for any action taken, except where doing so would compromise an investigation or user safety.

Effect of termination. Upon account termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 5, 10, 11, and 14) will continue to apply.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using the Service and delete your account.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

Before initiating formal legal proceedings, you agree to first contact us at legal@dabbly.app to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will make good faith efforts to resolve any issue within 30 days.

15. General

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and dabbly regarding the Service.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights and obligations to a successor entity (for example, if dabbly is acquired or restructured).
